In Austria, guests are still registered with the local community by the accommodation owner. Therefore on your arrival your host will ask you to fill out a registration form. There is a local accommodation tax which is associated with this form - the tax is normally included in room prices, but may be charged separately with apartment prices (as the number of people occupying an apartment may differ).
