Innsbruck airport is a popular gateway for holiday charter flights in summer and winter. Incoming summer charters are popular with visitors from all parts of Great Britain and Ireland. Outgoing charter flights are mainly holiday package departures to the sunnier countries to the south of the Tyrol.
Scheduled flights are operated to various airports within Austria and to certain destinations within neighbouring countries. A regular scheduled flight to London started in the autumn of 2003.

Covered long term and short term car parking is available at the airport and is easily found opposite the main airport terminal building.
Car hire is available from counters in the covered car park.
Travel company representation is provided inside the main terminal building. Offices are normally manned around the times of arriving and departing flights.
Shopping facilities at Innsbruck Airport are relatively undeveloped, although the duty-free area (not available to passengers on EU flights) has a good selection.
Two small bars provide refreshments in the arrivals area, while a restaurant with viewing balcony is available on the first floor.
Innsbruck Airport is located to the west of the city near the main motorway and the River Inn.
The easiest route for drivers is to take the A12 motorway to the Innsbruck-West exit and follow the signs. The exit route from the motorway follows the northern perimeter of the airport.
A regular bus service is available from Innsbruck railway station and other stops in the city.
