Scharnitz Accommodation
Scharnitz may look like a tiny border village, but it is actually the third largest of the five settlements on the plateau.
Known for its role as the gateway to the Karwendel Alpine Park, it still has a relatively undeveloped air about it although the new bypass and tunnel may change the future of the village dramatically.
There are a few guesthouses in the village and another in the hamlet of Giessenbach on the way to Seefeld, but most of the accommodation consists of private rooms or apartments.
The map of Scharnitz below gives an aerial overview of the village. It is possible to zoom in and out or to move it with the controls. It is also possible to switch between the aerial view and a traditional road map view.
